Lanamark Snap should be deployed in a dedicated physical or virtual machine meeting the following system requirements:

OS and Network Connectivity Requirements

Operating System

  • Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2 or 2016 (recommended)

Application Components

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 Client Profile (or higher)

Note: If Microsoft .NET Framework is not found it will be downloaded and installed automatically as part of the Lanamark Snap installation as long as Internet connectivity is present. 

Network

Outbound Internet connectivity via port 443 (SSL) to *.lanamark.one

Security

The user is responsible for installing patches and updates to the .NET Framework and the underlying operating system.

Processor, Memory and Disk Space Requirements

The following requirements are based on the number of VMs hosted on VMware® Infrastructure that will need to be profiled using Lanamark Snap:

Up to 100 VMs

  • vCPUs / Cores: 1
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Free Disk Space: 2 GB

100 – 499 VMs

  • vCPUs / Cores: 1
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Free Disk Space: 5 GB

500 – 999 VMs

  • vCPUs / Cores: 2
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Free Disk Space: 10 GB

1,000 – 2,499 VMs

  • vCPUs / Cores: 2
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Free Disk Space: 25 GB

2,500+ VMs

  • vCPUs / Cores: 4
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Free Disk Space: 10 MB / VM

Note: Offline mode requires 20 MB per VM per week of data collection.
